- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I love it here . I've been seasonal for 3 years. This is an amazing family campground. If you want to party, play your music loud, hoot and holler . This isn't the place for you. And I am very happy that they enforce this here. This is a safe , quiet, respectful place . The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything.By Karen Berki, March 25, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆The park was great, but ttying to get to and from the beach was a little crazy, very very steep climb.By Jeannette Bastien, March 10, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★The team at the park are amazing! I had some electrical issues in my trailer...my family and I were very well looked after. They went above and beyond late at night in the rain to trouble shoot the problem. The views of Lake Erie are a photographers dream! This is a well run park ideal for families wanting to get away from the norm.By John Hanson, September 16, 2016
- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆The sites are not as private as I would have liked but my family still enjoyed ourselves. I booked my site in advance and was upset to find out that it was right in the face of a playground in a open area but when I went to the check-in the staff were more than happy to allow us to relocate to a more satisfying location. Don't book in advanced if you don't want to be stuck in a open area surrounded by screaming children that are playing.By Amy B, July 14, 2016
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆By reading all of the reviews, either you hate this park or love it. There is no in between. Unfortunately I'm on the "hate" side. Hate is a strong word but I'll use it for this park. We tried this campground twice and twice it was very disappointing. The first time around, we were covered in Mayflies. It was an infestation. They don't bite but what a mess it made in and our of our trailer and inside of our truck. Then couple of weeks ago we went back and this time we were swarmed by stable flies which do bite and take chunks off your skin. In my opinion they're worst than mosquitoes. Many people left early that week-end and all complained about the lack of compensation and lack of empathy from the owners/workers. We all know and understand that's it not the park's fault that nature was not kind to us but only if it was only addressed and only if they had sympathy to their paying customers. In addition, just like any other private campground, this one is no different, they try to pack as many campers in as possible to maximize revenue and profits. To boot, they had couple of guys going around the park selling 50/50 tickets. I didn't stick around to hear the conversation because the thought of giving half my money to the park after I've paid for an overpriced night stay and the flies issues was appalling. It's my personal scale of fairness that was also invaded that weekend. The sand dunes is the only reason we go to Sand Hill but we found them this year to be very steep for our younger kids and no warning signs especially, when there's a 8 foot drop at the bottom of the dune that you can't see from the top until its too late. Please book at your own risk.... Caveat Emptor.By Golf Seeker, July 06, 2016
